Preview: The Packaging Collection

Happy Friday, everyone! Before I start getting into the nitty gritty of today’s (very exciting) post, I just wanted to thank everybody for your support so far! I’ve received lots of interest and such wonderful praise for my recent posts, where I’ve shared photos of custom orders, and added new things to the shop. It’s really an amazing feeling to get unexpected e-mails from either return customers or brand new people you’ve never met in your life, telling you they love what you have going, and are looking forward to see more. Regardless of whether a purchase was made or not. That affirmation is so great, so thank you very much for taking the time to write and share your Paper Exploits lovin’. :]

Speaking of new things, I’ve been wanting to launch the Packaging Collection for quite some time now, but I’ve still been working on getting the details shaped up, so nothing is in the shop yet. However, here are some preview pictures, to whet your appetite and get you nice and excited for when the collection does get launched!

So you know you love giving gifts, and part of that joy comes from pretty packaging, no? This collection is all about presenting your little treats in a fun and unexpected way, while still looking oh-so-pretty, delicate, and of course, handmade. :]

Strawberry Boxes! Made with lovely textured linen paper, and duo-toned leaves at the top, cinched with brown embroidery floss. With little seed windows too! :] So delicious. :]

The Slice of Cake Box! Made with beautiful speckled paper, this sweet little box also has an elegantly-shaped window through which your guests can peer into for a sneak peek at their yummy treats. I was also thinking that this’d be great for giving little trinkets like jewellery, hair accessories, and other things. So precious!

Embellished with matching dimensional flowers, and a precious little pearl sitting pretty in the center. Let the treats roll out decadently… :]

A full cake with tiers, but without the calories. Who’s complaining? :]

I created these with parties in mind– baby showers, bridal showers, bachelorette parties, and the list goes on! Hosts often give out party favours to each of the guests at the end, filled with chocolates or candy, and this would be such a great way to do that! Have the tiered cake or a bowl of strawberries as a centerpiece during the party, and give them away so that everyone leaves with either a slice of cake or a strawberry piece. ;]

I especially like how they work as a standalone gift to one person, or as a tiered centerpiece. Hohoho!

OR they could be a really different way to propose– who knows?! ;]

Hope you liked it– I’ll be keeping you updated on when it’s up for sale in the shop. :] Lots of hard work with all that designing and measuring from scratch, cutting, scoring, folding, adhering, and embellishing! So worth it though, because I’m really happy with how they’ve turned out.  As always, I’d love to hear what you think, so comment here or e-mail me at Kelly [at] PaperExploits [dot] com ;]

I love the cake concept! Definitely considering as a gift (: What’s the price range like for one tier?

Also, do you make customised scrapbooks? (Doesn’t need to be very thick – maybe 10-15pages is fine)

I love your pieces and your passion for craft really shows, so keep it up! I look forward to seeing more of your designs (:
